Welcome to the gallery of Beau, a stunning bay gelding captured in oils by artist Nicholas Beall. This bespoke painting was commissioned by Canadian client Marianne Goriuk to celebrate Beau’s elegance and gentle presence. His portrait is full of rich colour and detail, reflecting his personality beautifully.
About the Commission of Beau
Beau’s portrait was commissioned by Marianne Goriuk, who provided a high-resolution reference photo taken especially for the painting. Nicholas created the portrait at 18 x 14 inches on a gallery-wrapped canvas using traditional oil painting techniques.
Once complete, the painting was photographed in our Welsh garden before being carefully packed and sent to Canada. Marianne chose to display Beau’s portrait without a frame, allowing the painted edges to remain visible. It now hangs proudly on a wooden wall in her home.
