Commission of ‘Henry and Daisy’

Henry McIntosh, a returning client from the USA, contacted us in 2011 to ask if Nicholas could create a landscape oil painting based on a recent photo taken by his son. It captured Henry and his dog Daisy on their boat in a peaceful moment together — a real ‘Conversation on the Yellowstone.’

Henry wanted the painting not only as a keepsake but also something to pass down to his son. The photo’s quiet emotional power, with Daisy gazing up and the tree forming a natural centerpiece in the background, made it a perfect candidate. Nicholas painted the piece at 24 x 20 inches on Italian linen canvas.
